  BioMed Central
The research articles in all journals published by BioMed Central are 'Open Access'. They are immediately and permanently available online without charge. A number of journals require an institutional or a personal subscription to view other content, such as reviews or paper reports.

They show the most frequently cited journals in a field, highest impact journals in a field, and the largest journals in a field. JCR include virtually all areas of science, technology, and social sciences.

NIH Public Access Policy
The NIH Public Access Policy ensures that the public has access to the published results of NIH funded research. It requires scientists to submit journal articles that arise from NIH funds to the digital archive PubMed Central. The Policy requires that these articles be accessible to the public on PubMed Central to help advance science and improve human health.
